The Coachlog Experience

Q: What is Coachlog?

Hear This PageCoachlog or Coach Logging is a new form of blog, blog posting or blogging that I have created. It is a combination between a private blog software and an empowerment module that is contained in the blog software. Users respond to questions the blog coach has formulated by posting their replies in a stream-of-consciousness writing style, as fast as they can. All replies are dated and saved on the server, for later review. Nothing can and should be erased, and all new input is added on to existing input, with the respective time stamp. And this is not all. Accessible from the four different empowerment modules, Astroself®, Creativeself®, Firstself® and Leaderself®, there is a shared Combirel® Relaxation and Focusing module that opens new perspectives to effective online self-development. Other features common to all modules are pointed out on the Features page.

Q: How does Coachlog work?

Coachlog is based upon the very old idea of the power of the word. Language bears a unique power and has an immediate effect upon the body and mind, and this effect is growth-enhancing and positive when language is used in the right way. The ancient healers and hierophants knew that no doctors and psychiatrists are needed, and no medicine, other than using the power of language for changing all patterns of life. Every condition, be it somatic or psychic, can be positively manipulated and changed by simply using positive affirmations in a relaxed state of mind, on one hand, and the Feedback-Loop Technique®, on the other. More info on the Features page.

Q: Is Coachlog based upon a particular method?

Yes. The method that I termed Feedback Loop Technique® is a form and adaptation of the Inner Dialogue for healing and creativity enhancement. The user works first through the Getting Started Module that is a public shared module accessible from each individual coachlog account and that contains powerful brain coordination, relaxation and focusing units. After that, the user will be ready for the spontaneous output he is asked for in the specific answer-and-question games. Every page contains one or several questions that the user posts as a blog in a 'stream-of-consciousness-style' writing, which means to write the answer as fast as one can, without even thinking about it, and then submitting the post. It's to spontaneously express one's gut. What happens is namely that the subconscious mind is activated by this method, and answers can be provided that seem 'alien' on first sight, and thus provide an element of novelty. By doing this, surprising changes can be brought about in one's mindset, and results and transformations be achieved virtually in minutes.

Q: What is Inner Dialogue?

Inner Dialogue is a technique known from personal growth seminars, coaching and psychiatry that is used to bring about a deeper and lasting inner harmony in the client's or patient's psyche through the integration and interactive exchange of our inner selves, inner entities or energies, first of all our Inner Child, our Inner Parent and our Inner Adult. This technique was an integral part of the Transactional Analysis approach that the American psychiatrist Eric Berne invented in the 1950s and that has since been developed further both in medical psychiatry and private coaching. It is a very powerful technique that, unlike psychoanalysis, surely brings results, even when used only short-term. Dedicated patients and clients have reported a beneficial transformation of their whole personality and mindset. I can fully subscribe to the enthusiasm professionals share regarding this technique. The Inner Dialogue and especially the creative work with my Inner Child has brought about a real explosion of my personal creativity and productivity, and this has lasted for now almost twenty years and it goes on and on.

Q: Why is it coming as a Blog?

Coachlog is using the private blog in new and creative ways. Self-development has existed since long but it was foremost an individual and often quite lonely endeavor. My experience as a coach has shown me that most people who engage in self-improvement wish to share their unique personal growth experience with others, and preferably with others who do the same. This is natural. High achievers wish to be in touch with high achievers. The process of personal development is greatly enhanced through being constantly around positive, creative and ambitious people. Hence, the necessity and paramount importance of building a Coachlog Community. Working through the empowerment modules will inevitably raise questions. This process leads in most cases to a need to talking about the experience, be it in a private or public blog, and second, it asks for support, first of all professional support.

Q: What are the positive effects of Coachlog?

There are a number of positive effects. First of all, the experience of the Feedback Loop Technique® as a form and adaptation of the Inner Dialogue brings about inner integration. This leads to inner peace, harmony and strength, and a renewed sense of personal identity, which then becomes impregnated more and more by our true soul values. At the same time, the detrimental effects of mass conditioning gradually fade out from the surface of consciousness, which needs to happen for superconsciousness to manifest. This technique is used, in one or the other way, by all geniuses, to name only Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Albert Einstein as examples. The positive effects are manifesting both in health and creativity, and they unfold simultaneously on the individual, interpersonal and transpersonal levels. Communicating this experience to others brings additional integrative and health benefits, and strengthens personal power and assertiveness. Sharing the positive and empowering experience in something like a Coachlog Community brings about a unique field effect of transpersonal power and a powerful starting base for collective superconsciousness to be gradually built within a group of strong, dedicated and like-minded people.

Q: Is the Coachlog Community public or private?

While the individual coachlog account is private, the community is of course public. While it is true that self-development is a private and even intimate experience and not something to chat about, not something to reveal in party talk, it is an appropriate topic to share on a personal blog and on a public forum of committed participants. In every personal growth experience, there are certain events or mark stones in one's development that one wishes to communicate to a larger community or even the whole world.

Q: What is Coachlog Support?

Coachlog Support is a unique form of email-based support given by myself, Dr. Pierre F. Walter, the creator of the Coachlog approach. Q: Is Coachlog Support free?

Coachlog Support is free to all Sirius-C Premium Members, as an incentive and complimentary service.

Q: Do you offer traditional coaching as well?

Yes. I offer traditional One 2 One Coaching.

The Flash Audio Player

The flash audio player I am using is a free add-on provided by Macromedia Flash Software, at least in the former version (Flash 8) I am using that was still produced by Macromedia before the merger with Adobe Corporation. I have just only customized the streaming speed from 64k (default) to 128k, and the background image.

Q: I don't hear anything.

Check your sound card and settings first of all. When did you play sound last time? Is sound turned off? What about the volume? Are your speakers plugged or your headphones connected? Is the sound perhaps muted? Play a sound file in your habitual sound player - did you hear the sound?

Q: How to play a sound file?

1. You are in the Library tab. Click on folder till you see the sound files.
2. Click on the sound file(s) you wish to load into the Playlist.
2. Go to Playlist tab and click the sound file you wish to play.
3. Go to Now Playing tab and control the playback.

Note that unlike most media players, Flash Player 8 does *not* play all the files in the playlist, but only the one you have clicked. So after the sound stops, click the next one in the Playlist you wish to play and return to Now Playing.

Q: What to do when the Playlist is full?

In complex productions such as Emotional Flow, it is indeed possible that if you wish to listen in one session to all sound files, that the Playlist is full before you have listened to all files. This is not my fault but a bug in the Macromedia Flash Player as it does not open a vertical scroll bar for this purpose. There are only 9 files to fit in the Playlist window and when you click more, they will simply not appear. What to do? Very simply, press F5 on the PC or Command-R on the Mac to reload the page (after looking where you have been and which file next to play), then you shall have an empty playlist again.

Q: How long for the flash player module to load?

When you first hit the page, you will see only the background picture of the module (shining metal surface). Then the flash player module will load. There is *no* message for loading displayed, sorry. Depending on your Internet connection, it takes from a few seconds to more than a minute to load the module, as the module is 436k. The module is fully loaded when you see a folder icon in the Library (first tab) and the title of the production podcast.

Q: How good is the streaming quality?

The streaming quality is automatically set according to your Internet connection speed. I have not been able to test the module with various connections. On my own connection (512k DSL) it works flawlessly, without the stream needing to buffer and thus without any interruption. And it starts playing almost instantaneously which is almost a miracle when you see that some sound files are more than 60 MB large.

Q: What to do when it really does not work?

Open a Support Ticket. Choose iPublica Support. Anyway, there are always links to the playlists, where you can see the file names of the MP3 files, so that you can play them in your own preferred player.
